Jalan Gali Batu

It all started on 26 Mar. That morning Crystal came to me and told me that Sunway will be taking over a stockpile at Jalan Gali Batu near Kranji. She asked if I would consider going over to handle the admin work. I refused to the offer and yet I was sent over that very aftn. At least Wong and Crystal was with me. My first OT-til 7pm. That stupid Song from Surbana went back with me cos he said Marine Parade was along the way. Eventually, the half an hour journey turned out to be an hour and the cab fee was $29.80. Never had i spent so much money on cab! Luckily can reimburse. The next day I was told to be there by 7.30am. But the cab was early, so I reached at 7am. That day ended early at abt 4pm.

Job was extreme. Thats all I can say. Its either very busy-thats when all the trucks come at the same time, or its very free-thats when there are no truck at all. What i need to do is to weigh the trucks, print the Delivery Orders (DO), sign and print the DO Summary at the end of the day. The report to be done using Excel is an additional hwk given by S. Its simple.

AllI can say is that the stockpile is a lifeless place. Not as if there's nobody there,but u cant expect much pple when its in such a secluded and deserted area, surrounded by stones, forest and foreign workers' domitory. Some of my colleagues joked that the stones were of equivalence to diamond. Of cos, given that granite and sand are like precious gems to construction-related firms. It gets dark at night, but I'm never afriad. Dont ask me why. Twice I worked til 9pm/10pm plus, and pple were all worried abt my safety. But I wasnt scared at all, I swear.
It takes a long-legged person abt 5mins to walk from the container to the toilet and 20mins to complete the trek round the 20mm aggregate stockpile. I believe the view (esp of sunrise and sunset) one gets on top of the hill of stones would be marvellous, but I havent got the chance to climb up yet. Perhaps tmr I will.

On 31-03, I worked til 9pm plus. That was only for 187 loads. I walked out to the mainroad with Ah Boon and Song to wait fora cab. The driver was Ah Boon's face. That day was horriblest cos S kept on calling me on my hp. Almost once every hour. I bet my bill's gonna be a bomb this mth. Last nite was even later. Til 10pm plus for 237 loads. This time round S didnt call me. Phew! But I know he was just worried. Andrew drove me to and fro the toilet in his pick-up yest. Wee Bee came as I was printing the summary and he drove me and Ah Tan toYew Tee MRT Station. I took a cab from there. 1 thing that's bothering me's whether I have dropped my hairclip in Wee Bee's car. Hopefully not-cos I sat at the front seat yest and I'm not sure wat happens if his wife finds a hairclip there.

Tmr's probably my last or 2nd last time going there, cos Wong said he found someone else already. Perhaps it was my initial reluctance that led to the hurry to find new staff. But I couldnt tell him now that I'm actually used to it already. I guess its ok. I have no choice anyway. I'm actually quite confused cos Rosie's back and things have changed more than just a mere bit. Being over at the stockpile would remind pple more of my existence. Is it? Or will it make pple forget abt my existence cos I'm not in the office? I dont know.

But then again, its only a job. Just let it be.
